Why was this site created?

I decided to create this site using Neocities for several reasons, however the biggest one has to do with my personal beliefs. I believe that the internet was made to be a creative space for everyone and should remain free and open, like it used to be. Neocities represented something I really believed in and helps me feel like I have control over my life away from some megacorporation or someone trying to make a quick buck off of me. I also wanted a beautiful place to put my art, but no other website makers suited my tastes- this was perfect- and I can learn HTML along the way!

About the Artist

- Kellen Anderson (She/He/They) -

Kellen is an 18 year old student studying Studio Art in college. She was born in 2005 and grew up with old technology and a 90's-loving mom. She loves history, anything vintagey or retro, music, creating art, Five Nights at Freddy's, and just about anything weird or spooky.

(Please note that I am a Highly Sensitive Person, or HSP, so I tend to act strangely, get attached to random things, or say stuff the wrong way. I'm not looking to be criticized here so if you have a problem with me, my art, or anything I say, kindly just leave and I won't bother you ever again :3
